Welcome Kelly!

Capella has added a new stylist!

Meet Kelly! Kelly graduated from PCI in 2002 and moved to Richmond, VA, to work at a Redken elite salon, Ahead of Hair. Thru this salon, Kelly attended a ton of education, including 2 trips to the highly recognized Redken Exchange on 5th Avenue in NYC ! It was here she attended advanced coloring and cutting classes that helped her complete the Redken Master Stylist program. Kelly loves dimensional color and highlights are her favorite! If you’re looking for a new colorist, she’s your stylist!

Beyond Redken, Kelly has also completed the Pureology Specialist program and at Capella, we will continue to push her to new limits with education! Look for more on Kelly to come!

Welcome Emily

Capella now offers airbrush foundation by Emily! Emily joined our team as a freelance makeup artist and we are very excited to have her be part of our team! Emily trained under MAC artists, and also Patrick at Vanity&Glamour in Des Moines’ East Village. With the knowledge she gained from him, she is available for any type of makeup service. We have added to our team! Please welcome Elizabeth Mitchell.
Elizabeth came back to Des Moines from Chicago where she specialized in cutting. Elizabeth wanted to add coloring services back to her resume and we must say, this adds a whole new dimension to her haircuts! We are proud to have her part of Capella’s team!
