What will make the bob new in 2012?

The team at Capella enjoyed bobs in 2011, but we especially enjoyed the changes that celebrities like Jennifer Aniston made to the bob by sporting what we call the “Lob”. Still, the straight styles that have made bobs look so classy have worn hairstylists out!

Get a fresh look by adding curls to your style like Charlize Theron. A little separation adds texture and gives your bob a brand new style! Wear it asymmetrical by tucking one side behind your ear. Add a hairpin near the top of your ear for a little glam!

Fall Brings It Back

Where’s the inspiration coming from for fall hair of 2010?

Curls are falling toward the end of hairstyles, like how Greta Garbo wore it in the 30′s. Eva Mendes now wears it with a longer, modern look.

Capella will be closed on Saturday, March 27th. All stylists will be in Chicago experiencing one of the largest national hair shows, America’s Beauty Show!

What’s new for Spring 2010?

Guys: Tousled long layers thru the top with shorter nape & sides. Think “relaxed preppie” like Robert Pattinson of Twilight. Classic side parts are also making appearances on the runways.

Textured Styling: Try braiding damp or dry hair at night to create a “crimp” pattern in the hair. Undo in the morning & scrunch for a soft wave with undone ends.

Makeup: Sheer tints & dewy textures that show off polished & exfoliated winter lips.
